Go to the search field, type msconfig, then hit enter. So go to your Windows button, lower left corner of your desktop. And if you've got the same problem I have, there might have been someone who disabled it for you. Some of you, maybe even most of you, don't even know what Workstation is. Never in my 20+ years of PC experience have I ever had Workstation be needed for a game to simply run, never the less being a problem at all. It turns out that disabling the service task named "Workstation" was the culprit all along. I'm an avid PC user, and I tweak a lot of things to get the max performance out of it. It might be all the other stuff I've been doing, but as soon as I did the following, the game ran without a hitch: So it turns out, it was my fault all along.
